(t) CHINA. Kiangnan. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), CD (1900). PCGS Genuine--Chopmark, EF Details.
L&M-229; K-81; KM-Y-145a.4; WS-0819. Variety with straight "ping" and large "tze". Just a little weakly struck, as is characteristic for the issue, yet a presentable piece with charcoal patina that emboldens the dragon's appearance. An easily overlooked chopmark "三" (San) at 12 o'clock with remnants of an ink chop on the reverse keeps the coin from attaining a more desirable numeric grade.
Estimate: $800 - $1200
