L&M-345; K-145; KM-Y-238; WS-0737. Narrow Face Dragon with Double Die Obverse variety. This nicely preserved and very attractive example exhibits a bold strike with even wear on the high points and signs of handling consistent for the grade. Beautiful dusky hued patina with sunset accents amongst the devices adds to its eye-catching appearance. Close inspection reveals evidence of a past cleaning primarily contained to the open areas, now subdued by the lovely patination and is visually pleasing with remaining luster in the protected areas. Despite its shortcomings this handsome survivor clearly sat for a prolonged time and offers much originality.
