(t) CHINA. Szechuan. 3 Mace 6 Candareens (50 Cents), ND (1901-08). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, EF Details.
L&M-347; K-146; KM-Y-237.2; WS-0741. Narrow-faced dragon with "N/EACE" spelled in "MACE". An interesting variety with a composite letter "M" in the word Mace, this example boasts a strong strike with rich pervasive slate patina and areas of lighter coloration atop of the devices and on the reverse. Close inspection reveals evidence of a past cleaning, now subdued and attractive. Despite its shortcomings a handsome piece that is sure to excite many advanced variety collectors.
Estimate: $500 - $700
