(t) CHINA. Tibet. Srang, BE 15-53 (1919). PCGS AU-55.
L&M-656; cf.K-1442; Y-A18.1; WS-0287. An attractive example of this elusive type that displays lustrous surfaces with light mottled gray patina. The devices are well-formed with light signs of handling consistent for the grade, though the strike is slightly uneven leaving a bit of weakness at the beaded border at 2 o'clock on the obverse. This pleasing survivor offers much originality and is sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
Estimate: $7000 - $10000
