CHINA. Yunnan. 3 Mace 6 Candareens (50 Cents), ND (1911). PCGS MS-63.
L&M-422; K-170; KM-Y-257; WS-0669. Variety with two circles and two dots under the fiery pearl. Alive with slightly warm champagne surfaces, this rather well struck piece refuses to render any weakness on the obverse, a shortcoming that is common for weakly struck the type. The character side is not quite as full, but fields exhibit a refreshing lack of contact marks or handling that would normally be indicative of a higher Mint State grade.
Estimate: $300 - $500
