Issued by decree of 20 December 1834, suppressed 31 March 1837 (By Decree of 1 February 1836). Countermark applied to the obverse of a 1832-Go MJ Mexico republic 8 Reales. One of the more abundant dates from this mint, we have 13 examples documented in our records with three different crown varieties. The countermark is decently applied, though most of the crown is obscured, on a nicely preserved host coins. Close inspection reveals light encrustation amongst the devices accounting for the detail's designation, though hardly a distraction. The charming survivor exhibits a pleasing appearance with rich mottled patina and offers much originality.
