Grove C-267b – El Caballito, 1796. AU.Medalla encargada por el Marqués de Branciforte en honor al rey Carlos IV. Una de las obras magistrales de Gerónimo Antonio Gil (G.A. Gil signado bajo la hombrera), en la que grabó la estatua ecuestre que años más tarde sería erguida por Manuel Tolsá. Acuñada sobre un monumental cospel de bronce de 60mm de diámetro y 124.5 gramos de peso. Mínimos desgaste y golpecitos en puntos altos del diseño.

Medal commissioned by the Marquis of Branciforte in honor of King Carlos IV. One of the masterpieces of Gerónimo Antonio Gil (G.A. Gil signed under the shoulder pad), in which he engraved the equestrian statue that years later would be erected by Manuel Tolsá. Minted on a monumental bronze planchet of 60mm in diameter and 124.5 grams of weight. Minimal wear and small marks at high points of the design.
