Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 15.59 g, 12 h), in the name and types of the Seleukid king Philip I Philadelphos, year 3 of the Caesarean Era = 47-46 BC. Diademed head of Philip I to right within filleted border. Rev. Zeus Nikephoros seated left, holding Nike in extended right hand and scepter in left; to inner left, monogram of ANT (= Antioch); fixed monogram below thorne; Γ and thunderbolt in exergue; all within wreath. HGC 9, 1360a. McAlee 4. Prieur 4. RPC I 4127. SC 2491.1. Extremely rare - Prieur recorded just two examples. Sharply struck and with light toning. Extremely fine.
