ISLANDS OFF IONIA, Chios. Circa 290-240 BC. (Bronze, 20 mm, 3.66 g, 12 h), struck under the magistrate, Therses. Sphinx seated to right; before, grain-ear. Rev. ΧΙΟΣ / ΘΕΡΣΗΣ Chian amphora; to left, grape bunch. HGC 6, 1151. Mavrogordato 62α. Brown patina. Very fine.
