CARIA. Knidos. Circa 380-360 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 13.5 mm, 1.57 g, 1 h), struck under the magistrate Charatonas (?). KNI Forepart of lion to right. Rev. ΧΑΡATΩΝΑ Head of Aphrodite to right, her hair bound with a spendone; behind, uncertain symbol. Ashton, Late p. 87 (magistrate ΧΑΡΑΤΑΣ (?)). Cf. SNG Keckman 170-1 (magistrate). Toned. Very fine.
