ΘEOΔΩPOC ΔOYK / APX MX On the left, Theodore, crowned, wearing imperial robes and holding scepter in his right hand and with his left, receiving the walls of Thessalonica from the Archangel Michael, on the right, nimbate, winged and wearing an elaborate loros; above, between them, hand of God crowning Theodore.
