The Tarchaneiotes, Tarchaniotes or Trachaneiotes, was a Byzantine aristocratic family from Adrianople in Thrace. The family survived the fall of Constantinople and members migrated to Italy and Russia, where they were attested (and very active) until the 17th century as Trakhaniot.
