ISLANDS OFF CARIA, Rhodos. Rhodes. Circa 150-125 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 2.74 g, 1 h), plinthophoric series, struck under the magistrate Artemon. Radiate head of Helios to right. Rev. P - O APTEMΩΝ Rose with bud right; to left, oenochoe. Cf. HGC 6, 1459 (vase). Cf. Jenkins Rhodian Group C, 70 (described as a vase, but all images show a hydria). Karl -. Cf. SNG Keckman 662 (vase, but shows a hydria). Unpublished symbol for the magistrate. Toned. Good very fine.
