ROMAN IMPERIAL. 3rd-4th century AD. (Bronze, 255.57 g). A lot of Seventy-Four (74) antoniniani and folles of the Late Roman Empire from Valerian I to Arcadius, with most emperors represented. Includes some scarcer issues and emperors (e.g., a Divus Claudius II struck under Constantine I, a couple of antoniniani of Tacitus, another of Divus Carus, a large Julian II maiorina, an attractive facing helmeted bust of Arcadius, etc). Unlike many group lots from this period, this lot is not heavily imbued with Constantinian material. Fine to very fine. Sold as is, no returns (74).
From a North American collection.
