MYSIA. Perperene. Hadrian, 117-138. Assarion (Bronze, 19 mm, 2.86 g, 12 h). ΑΥ ΤΡΑ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟC Laureate and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right. Rev. ΠΕΡΠΕΡΗΝΙΩΝ Dionysos standing to left, holding kantharos in his right hand and resting on thyrsos held in his left; at his feet to left, panther. RPC III 1699. Stauber 32 corr. Rare, only three examples recorded by the RPC editors. Rough black surfaces, otherwise, very fine.
