PHRYGIA. Hierapolis. Pseudo-autonomous issue, 3rd century. (Bronze, 22 mm, 5.01 g, 7 h). Draped bust of youthful Dionysos to right, wearing ivy wreath. Rev. ΙΕΡΑΠΟΛΕΙΤΩΝ Zeus Laodikeos standing left, holding eagle in right hand and scepter in left. BMC 25. SNG Copenhagen 423. Fine depiction of Dionysos. Porous cleaned surfaces and flan crack, otherwise, very fine.
