LUCANIA. Velia. Circa 340-334 BC. Nomos (Silver, 22 mm, 7.24 g, 6 h), from the "Θ" group. Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with griffin; behind neck, Θ. Rev. YEΛHTΩN Lion walking to right; below, Θ. HN III 1284. SNG Lockett 549 (same dies). Williams 276 (O156/R215). Well-centered and in high relief. Deposits and light corrosion, otherwise, very fine.
