BRUTTIUM. Kaulonia. Circa 475-425 BC. Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 7.11 g, 1 h). Apollo advancing right, holding branch in his upraised right hand, his left arm outstretched with a small daimon running to the right; to right, ivy leaf and stag standing right. Rev. KAVΛO Stag standing left. Cf. HN III 2044 and 2046. Cf. Noe, Caulonia 147 (same obverse die, but stag to right; this reverse die not recorded by Noe). Obverse die deterioration, otherwise, very fine.
Noe saw the Greek letter Φ under the hand on the obverse but it is actually an ivy leaf.
