KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32 mm, 16.68 g, 11 h), uncertain mint, posthumous issue, c. 200 BC. Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated to left on backless throne, holding eagle with closed wings on his outstretched right hand and long scepter in his left. Slight obverse die-shift, otherwise, very fine.
