Thrace. Philippopolis. Caracalla, As Caesar, 196-198. (Bronze, 19 mm, 4.26 g, 7 h). M AYP KAI ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙ Bareheaded and draped youthful bust of Caracalla to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΠΟΛΕΙΤΩΝ Winged Genius standing left, resting on low column before him and holding inverted torch with his right hand. Cf. Varbanov 1560 (obverse legend). With an unusual but quite handsome portrait of Caracalla.
