Early Anglo‐Saxon period, Continental Sceatta (c.690‐715/20) Sceatta, Series D, type 2c, uncertain mint
in northern Frisia struck under King Radbod of Frisia. Crude radiate bust right, with runic lettering in
front. Rev. Cross pommée, pellets in angles; cross above, 1.30g (S.792; N.168; Abramson 8-10). Beautiful
lustrous toning, good very fine.
