Armenia, Levon I (1199‑1219 AD), silver Double Tram, Levon seated facing on throne of fine style,
crowned, holding orb and sceptre. Rev. Crowned lion left, passant guardant, patriarchal cross behind
lion's back; variety with right leg raised in front of the lion, not supporting the cross below his chest,
5.10g (Bed. 36; Nerc. (1995) 273). Slightly double struck, some weakness, otherwise Extremely Fine, extremely
rare variety. Only one other example on Coin Archives and only one other known to have come to the market in
the last 30 years. £750‑1,000
