Italy, Vitt orio Emanuele II (1861-78), gold 100 Lire, 1864, Torino mint, VITTORIO EMANUELE II, bare
head left. Rev. REGNO D'ITALIA, Savoy coat of arms decorated with the Collare dell'Annunziata, both
within a laurel wreath, engraver: Giuseppe Ferraris, 32.22g (Mont. 126; Pag. 451; F. 8). Extremely Fine,
toned, possibly lightly cleaned in the past. The item is excessively rare with a mintage of only 579 pieces. It is
large and iconic: the largest coin issued by Vitt orio Emanuele II and consequently, much sort after. Very desirable
and very rarely comes onto the market. It is one of the key coins of the Italian milled series – a very popular area.
