A Great War Offi cer Pair awarded to 2nd Lieutenant Cliff ord James Fuller. A/156 Batt ery, 33rd
Division Royal Field Artillery comprising 1914-1920 British War and Victory Medals (2. Lieut. C. J.
Fuller.), contemporarily court mounted for wear, lightly toned very fi ne. £60-£80
Cliff ord James Fuller was the son of an analytical chemist, born on the 6th of March 1899 in Mauritius.
He was originally Gunner 242344 Royal Artillery receiving his Commission on the 18th of March 1918,
he landed in France on the 22nd of May 1918.
He subsequently became a Doctor marrying professional artist Katherine Alison Pumphrey Robertson
in 1932. In 1939, she is given also to be working for the blood transfusion service in terms of war work.
There is a fi le at the National Archive Kew of offi cer's papers for him under reference W0339/100190.
He died on the 19th of July 1965 leaving £47,780, worthy of further research.
