A Great War Pair Awarded to Nurse Janet Keown Boyd, Voluntary Aid Detachment, comprising
1914-1920 British War and Victory Medals, (J K. Boyd. V.A.D.), lighty toned very fi ne. £80-£120
Janet Keown Boyd was born in c.1892, her home address is shown as 24 Bisham Gardens Highgate
North. She served with the Voluntary Aid Detachment as a Nurse from the 1st of December 1915 to
January 1919. She was a nurse at the 1st London General transferring to a Military Hospital in France
on the 20th of April 1917 serving in France until the 21st of March 1918.
Sold with Copy Medal Roll confi rming Pair, Copy Medal Index card and details from the British Red
Cross Volunteers 1914-1918.
