My Dear Goode,
Thank you for your letter of July 27th and you are quite right, we were connected during the war with 450 battery.
Like everything else, it is very difficult to remember what happened in those days, but one does have great satisfaction, as you say, in
anything that 450 did so well, and this was made possible by the excellent people who served in the battery.
I, of course, remember the names that you mention but have not seen any of them since the war.
If you are ever in London, don't hesitate to give me a ring and come in for a drink and we will try to remember the pleasant things that
happened to us.
Best wishes,
James Carreras,
