Vikings of Northumbria, Kingdom of York (c.895‐920), Penny, Cunetti type, patriarchal cross and
pellets, letters in turn of CNVT at each cross terminal, REX alternating between. Rev, cross pattee with
two pellets, legend surrounding, +CVИ.: ИET..TI:., 1.41g (S.993; N.501). Attractively toned on a broad flan,
outer beaded borders visible, none of the usual rim chips or peck marks. Some ghosting on obverse, reverse superb.
Good very fine, reverse better.
