A Royal Marine's Africa General Service Medal, 1899-1956, EViiR, one clasp Somaliland 1902-1904

surface scratches to obverse, otherwise very fi ne. £100-£120
James Quinn was born on the 23rd of March 1879in Hawick Roxburghshire, he joined the Royal Marines
on the 22nd of September 1897 at Edinburgh. Her served on 14 Ships including H.M.S. Hussar 25th of
May 1901 to the 15th of January 1904 and H.M.S. Hood 3rd of January 1905 to the 23rd of June 1905. He
was discharged Invalided on the 16th of July 1908, his Service Papers, state Re-enlisted 24th of August
1914, his Service papers also confi rm the Issue of the "South Africa Medal Somaliland 1902-04" received
by him on the 24th of May 1905.
