+EDPARD REX. Rev, short cross voided with expanded limbs joined at the base by two circles, legend
surrounds +ÆLFGAR ON LVNDENE:., 1.70g (S.1177; N.823; BMC.V). An evenly toned imposing example
of the heavy issue. The portrait and bust well struck up, obverse legends showing some clashing, reverse concise.
Cracked and repaired, with signs of lacquer, otherwise good very fine in the initial strike. Metal stable, an academic
example.
