Henry III (1216 - 1272), Penny, crowned, bearded facing bust, HENRICVS REX, reverse Long cross, 'GILBERT ON CAN', CanterburyType: Hammered Long Cross; 1.37g, class Vd/c, (N.994/993, S.1370/136). Extremely fine, strongly struck. Superb portrait, about as good a specimen that can be obtained, and scarce mint.
