REDEMPT, saltire stops, ship with quartered shield on hull and large cross, R over rose to the left, Rose to right, 5.14g (N.1676; S.2151; cf. Schneider 488 for obverse, and Schneider 489 for same reverse die; cf. Winstanley pl. I, 6, and pl. I, 7 for same reverse die). Good very fi ne, in places nearer extremely fine and a particularly bold example. One of the best examples we have come across.
