James I (1603 - 1625), Sovereign, mm thistle, first coinage (1603-1604), king crowned, half length, first bust with plain armour right, reverse crowned quartered shield of arms, I to left and R to right, 11.12g, (S.2608, N.2065). About extremely fine, well struck and one of the stronger examples we have seen.
