Merovingian Francia, Marseilles (?), National Series, Imported Silver, Denier, Omega over O, trefoil each side, beaded border, rev. cross pommée in beaded circle, vestigial line-beaded border, 1.29g (SCBI 69, 1100 this coin), largely centred with a rich dark tone, traces of deposit in recesses, otherwise very fine, rare and highly distinctive.
