Anglo Saxon-England, Continental Phase (695-740), Sceat, Series E, Late variety, Diamond cruciform reverse, thin crescent enclosing three bars, cross right, pellets below, rev. central annulet, offset pellet, three pelleted chevrons outward, lower chevron inward, plain chevrons in margin, 1.23g (SL 96-10; SCBI 69, 252ff.), rich dark patina on a large splayed flan, extremely fine and highly attractive.
