Anglo Saxon-England, Continental Phase (695-740), Sceat, Series E, Variety E [?], quilled crescent left, crescent coiled left, triangular head enclosing pellet eye, bar and two crosses below head, rev. beaded, standard containing four Ts rotating, 0.97g (SL 99-20 plate coin; SCBI 69, 286 this coin), a curious variety with only wisps of porosity masked by handsome residual toning, a really pleasing very fine.
