Constantinople mint. + COnST' bASIL' ROm' (or similar, garbled by multiple strikes), facing bust of Constantine VII with short beard, wearing crown and vertical loros, and holding akakia and globus cruciger; cross in right field / + COnST' / Єn ΘЄO bA / SILЄVS R / OmЄOn, legend in four lines (approximated - multiple-strike garbling) . Cf. SBCV 1761. VF for type, multiple strikes garble legends, ochre deposits in fields and recesses over dark green patina.
