A nice Post-Classic Maya stone figure from Mexico, ca. 800 - 1000 A.D. It is 6-1/2 inches high and is carved from fuchsite, portraying a seated individual, with legs crossed and hands grasping the top of his head. Intact, strong mineral deposits.
