Anglo-Saxon England, Eclectic Series (710-760), Sceat, Saltire standard, type 70, Hill variety f, saltire pommée in beaded standard, pellet in each angle, tufa above, neat cross left and right, line of three pellets below, beaded border, rev. beaded standard with central annulet and two right angles, T to each side, beaded border, 1.02g (SL 13-170, plate coin; SCBI 69, 735 this coin), wisps of porosity, otherwise of bright silver muted only by peripheral staining, a really bold very fine, scarce.
