Subtle yellow hues were added to this stunning, unissued 1000 Rials from the second 1937 series. Thomas de la Rue prepared three denominations with a front facing Shah portrait, all of which are only available in prototype format. Choice Uncirculated paper adds to the desirability of this already very scarce Trial. Of note, this example was printed with black serial numbers. Printer notations on both sides are mentioned for accuracy.
