World Currency
Malaya and British Borneo Board of Commissioners of Currency 10 Dollars 1.3.1961 Pick 9a KNB9a PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. This note may be the most desirable world banknote printed in the 1960s. The first 80 prefixes were printed with small text. Interestingly, this note circulated in the independent peninsular Malayan states, as well as colonial Singapore, Sabah (British North Borneo), Sarawak, and Brunei. The lifespan of this note was relatively brief, as within a few years, Malaysia unified, Singapore was expelled from Malaysia, and Brunei issued its own currency. This type is rare in Uncirculated grade and especially so with EPQ status. https://currency.ha.com/itm/world-currency/malaya-and-british-borneo-board-of-commissioners-of-currency-10-dollars-131961-pick-9a-knb9a-pmg-choice-uncircul/a/4033-28350.s?type=DA-DMC-CoinArchivesCurrency-WorldPaperMoney-4033-10232021 HID08706262019 © 2020 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
