Turks & Caicos Islands Government of the Turks and Caicos Islands 10 Shillings ND (1913-24) Pick 2cts Color Trial Specimen PMG Choice About Unc 58. After the Bahamian independence in 1973, Turks and Caicos was set to become an independent nation in 1982, but that policy was never adopted, and they remain as a British Overseas Territory. The Island Territory issued its own currency from 1903-1928, and used a ubiquitous design of currency that was used in other territories such as the Falkland Islands, British Honduras etc. These issuances were extremely limited, and are rarely offered for sale. This will be the first time that we have offered this type in this format.
