Balbinus (238 AD). AE Sestertius, Rome mint. Obv. IMP CAES D CAEL BALBINVS AVG. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. LIBERALITAS AVGVSTORVM S C. Liberalitas standing left, holding abacus and cornucopiae. RIC IV 15; C. 11. AE. 18.23 g. 30.00 mm. Scarce. A very attractive example. Superb portrait and lovely olive green patina, gently retouched on cheek. Some light smoothing, otherwise about EF.
