Obverse: Robed scholar seated right under a tree, in attitude of contemplation and examining a human heart held in hand; open book at feet; SEMPRE IMPARO (always learning) to right; Reverse: IIIe CONGRES MONDIAL / DE CARDIOLOGIE / BRUXELLES 1958 / IIIe WORLD CONGRESS / OF CARDIOLOGY / BRUSSELS 1958 in six lines, with central field left blank. Edge: Plain. Light yellow-brown surfaces; reverse somewhat mottled, with some scuffs and tooling to smooth out the central field. Great medical type.
