KM-8; Cal-type 129#630. Weight: 6.8 gms. A boldly detailed Cob, with clear mintmark and assayer letters. Provenance from the wreck of Nuestra Senora de Atocha, which sank off of Florida in 1622. Sold with certificate from Treasure Salvors, Inc / Mel Fisher, #85A-148446. The certificate catalogs this coin under Philip II. However, the distinctive "RAL" ligature places it as a 1618-dated coin (date off flan), under Philip III.
