Fr-19; KM-42. A SCARCE Three-year transitional bust type, displaying the bust of Charles III, but in the name of Charles IV with ordinal IV. This gently handled survivor exhibits a bold strike with much luster in the in the protected areas. The mild signs of handling are primarily contained to the exposed areas and high points retaining much originality and flashy luster. When rotating in the light rich coppery-orange patina accentuated the devices adds to its pleasing appearance and eye appeal.
