CUBA. White Metal 5 Pesetas Gaming Token, ND (ca. 1890s). PCGS AU-53.
Rulau-Hav-212. Obverse: Three men racing horses; Reverse: 5 PESETAS under horseshoe and surrounded by hexagon; Edge: Reeded. A dollar-sized copper-nickel-zinc token reportedly from El Casino de Cecuta in Cuba. Intricately engraved and boasting a reeded edge, this piece is desirable both for its artistic qualities and historical significance. Rather bright with brilliant glossiness in the fields under consistent champagne-blue tone.
From the Tim Gabriele Collection.
Estimate: $60 - $100
