Bramsen-471; Julius-1498; d'Essling-1121; Zeitz-34. Diameter: 39mm; Weight: 38.60 gms. By J. P. Droz & N. G. A. Brenet. Obverse: Laureate head right; Reverse: Mont Blanc (as an old man of colossal size), crouching facing and lifting large rock under which two miners are working. Edge: Plain. Light reddish-brown surfaces, with some hints of olive and brilliance emanating from the fields. A great and fairly SCARCE allegorical type relating to mining.
