Mazio 874; cf. Rinaldi 109 (silver). Weight: 58.49 gms. By Bianchi. Obverse: Bust right, wearing mozetta and zucchetto; Reverse: Coat-of-arms surmounted by crossed keys and Papal tiara; all within wreath. A VERY RARE and enticing medallic issue likely issued in 0.900 fine gold, this piece does exhibit some scattered scratches and hairlines that account for the noted tooling, but remains highly attractive and appealing nonetheless. A great offering from the beginning of the reign of Benedict XV.
