Obverse: Two rats atop cartouche bearing the Sundays of the year; floral scroll to left and right, date below; Reverse: "Time discovers the truth," --Seneca in three lines in Kanji; around, circular border composed of various flowers. Edge: A few light marks, otherwise plain. Olive-brown in color, this charming animal type is a great representation of the expansive series of calendrical medals which can be encountered.
