MEXICO. 8 Escudos, 1741-Mo MF. Mexico City Mint. Philip V. NGC EF Details--Cleaned.
Fr-8; KM-148; Cal-type-298#2243; Onza-437. A well struck coin with fields relatively free of notable marks, though some areas of fine hairlines can be observed. The toning is a medium golden color, trending toward a more orange tint in the peripheries. This particular obverse die is quite distinctive, due to the presence of a die defect appearing as a small blob just left of the bust. Overall a decent and presentable example of the type, despite the cleaning.
Estimate: $2000 - $3000
